You can get paid $135k per year in dream job road testing supercars, yachts and islands
It’s been dubbed the ‘best job in the world’. The successful applicant would travel the world and be paid for it. So how can you get the gig?
A start-up website is advertising for what could be the best job in the world, with the successful applicant getting paid to travel the world testing super yachts, private planes and beautiful private islands.
Even better — the pay is pretty good as well at £75,000 (A$135,000) per year.
The dream job was listed by HushHush, a recently-launched luxury shopping website.
The advert for the Luxury Product Tester role, which pays A$52,000 more than the average Australian salary, says: “We’re on the hunt for a Luxury Product Tester to review our products before they are put on sale to the public.
“As a Product Tester, the successful candidate will be expected to test similar products for their style, comfort, performance and suitability for the site, and produce a thorough report on every item.
“The successful candidate will also be expected to travel extensively for the role, as they will be required to review private islands and properties for sale around the world.”
Dubbed the ‘Amazon for millionaires’, the website was launched by 29-year-old Aaron Harpin who wanted to offer the “leading destination for millionaires and billionaires to buy the finest things in life”.
Some of the most expensive things for sale on the website include a French chateau for £62 million (A$112 million) and a superyacht costing £21 million (A$37 million).
Mr Harpin, who is from the UK but now lives in Monaco, said: “At HushHush.com, our aim is to offer everything for the millionaire lifestyle and become the leading destination for wealthy consumers to buy the finer things in life.
“Of course, we also want our customers to know that each and every item has our assurance of quality. That’s why we’re on the hunt for a product tester.”
Mr Harpin previously told The Daily Telegraph there had been a number of sales since the launch, including a £100,000 (A$181,000) hovercraft.
He called the new luxury service, which allows buyers to see the items in person before their purchase, “a solution for the cash rich, time poor.”
While there is no deadline for the job, applicants will need to be quick to be in with a chance.
