Because a string of cruise liners are en route to Australia for the warmer months, and have dropped some epic sales — with some costing less than $1000 for a week long holiday.

As part of the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) month of sales throughout October, eligible bookings can save up to 50 per cent off the second passengers’ cruise fare while kids cruise from just $19 a day.

Some cruise liners, as well as Flight Centre have launched what they’re calling ‘The Biggest Cruise Sale’ — and includes rates for ocean cruises, luxury cruises and even river cruises. So if it’s time to book your next holiday, get your sea legs ready — because these are three of the top deals we have seen for the month:

P & O Cruises handing out free soft drink and ice cream

For just $549 per person, this P & O Cruise on board the Pacific Dawn is the perfect option if you’re new to cruising.

It will have you cruising from Melbourne, through to Kangaroo Island before returning to Melbourne again after four nights away.

Departing in November 2020, you will need to get in quick — because the sale will be over on 22nd October 2019.

Royal Caribbean seven nights at sea from $845 per person

Royal Caribbean is known to offer guests the ultimate family getaway, with plenty of activities on-board to keep everyone entertained while sailing to awe-inspiring destinations.
