“It attaches to the back of the seat in front of you and you can adjust the angle,” she wrote in her review alongside a photo.

The mount is about 9.5cm long and fits most phones, with or without a phone case attached. It’s also got a 360 degree adjustable rotation, with the clamp opening up to 4cm.

A Kmart spokesperson said the in-flight phone mount has been in stores for almost a year now and has been “super popular” among customers.

Described as “the ultimate aeroplane hack”, the trick has been shared by numerous TikTok users, including ‘Queen of Hacks’, Anita Birges.

“This flying tip is going to completely change the way you travel. Last time I did it on a flight, I looked over and everyone in the row started doing it as well.”

In the clip, Anita demonstrated what to do on a Jetstar flight.

She explained that once you’re seated, grab the sick bag, pop the case of your phone off and place the bottom part of the bag into your phone case.

“Slot your phone back into the case, wedging the paper bag between your phone and your case,” she continued.

“Lay about half of the sickness bag into the end of the tray and carefully keep hold of it while folding the tray back up.

“Secure the tray using the sliding bolt and you are done! Sick back and enjoy.”
