Travel Deal Tuesday: Qantas launch domestic flights sale to beat the chill this winter
As parts of Australia shiver through the first cold snap of the season, this flight sale could have you jetting off to warmer weather.
As the cold snap takes hold along the east coast, jetsetting away to warmer weather couldn’t come at a better time.
But if you’re not keen on venturing to Europe, there’s plenty of options closer to home over the winter break. And, of course, a few stunning deals a little further from home that will have you soaking up the sun.
News.com.au’s Travel Deal Tuesday brings you three of the best bargains from around the world, offering our favourite holiday specials and package deals from the week.
QANTAS LAUNCH QUEENSLAND FLIGHT SALE
If you want to keep your winter escape within Australian shores, Qantas has launched an epic Queensland sale on flights booked before June 3.
With flights from just $99, you could have yourself on the shores of Hervey Bay from $105 or perhaps exploring Cairns and Port Douglas for just $109 one way.
The Queensland Sale also marks the launch of their Hamilton Island seat increase, which will have more flights and larger aircraft heading to Hamilton Island over the winter and school holiday break.
Close to 300 additional seats will be available for customers travelling from Brisbane and
Sydney to Hamilton Island between July and September this year, following a trend of travel to the island during the cooler months.
“We know there is already strong demand from customers travelling to the Whitsundays both in winter and over the school holidays and our existing flights are very popular,” Qantas Domestic CEO Andrew David said in a statement.
FLY TO THE US FROM JUST $913 RETURN
Flying to the US is getting cheaper and cheaper every year, and this deal from Air NZ comes as no exception.
The best part is that you don’t have to fly into the notoriously busy LAX to snap up this special, with trips to San Francisco and Houston also on offer for the same price.
From today, customers can head to LA, San Francisco or Houston from $913 return when departing Melbourne. If you’re flying out of Sydney, you’ll pay closer to $930 return. And if you’re in Brisbane, you can head over to experience an American summer from $935 return.
The travel dates will vary depending on which city you choose to fly to, however if you are looking at LA you’ll need to book your holiday between October 16 and December 4, 2019.
If you’re heading to San Francisco you’ll need to travel between October 18 and November 27, 2019 and if you’re after a Texas adventure you’ll need to travel between October 12 and December 6, 2019.
But you’ll need to make plans quick, the sale will end June 14, 2019.
FLIGHTS AND SEVEN NIGHTS IN HAWAII
Nothing makes a last minute holiday easier than when the whole trip is bundled into a package deal.
Expedia have launched a sweet summer sale to Hawaii, with some packages saving you almost $900 on some hotel/flight combinations.
If you’re keen on soaking up the sun in Honolulu, you might want to check out the seven nights at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel on Waikiki Beach with flights from $1621.
At a saving of $896, seven nights at The Royal Hawaiian hotel including flights will set you back $2047, but you’ll need to be able to travel in the first week of August only.
If you’re keen on a slightly shorter stay, The Kahala Hotel and Resort have a sale for $1341 for three nights and flights in their Standard room with a Lagoon view.
