Surrounded by the harbour, cocktails and as many canapes as your heart desires – a luxury boat once reserved for the rich and famous has now turned into an idyllic playground that anyone can enjoy.

Built in 1951, the luxury boat Suellen has cruised Sydney Harbour carrying some of the world’s biggest names, from Jackie Kennedy Onassis and Debbie Reynolds to Robbie Williams.

But now, as part of a string of new luxury experiences, the stunning boat can be hired out for your very own Vivid cruise with unlimited cocktails to get the party started.

Unlimited cocktails and fresh seafood on board the classic boat – it’s the perfect way to end your day.

Set to be one of the more popular experiences offered by Luxury Escapes, especially since the event has been cancelled for the past two years, setting foot on board the Suellen is like taking a step back in time.

The gorgeous seacraft, with room for just 12 guests, has been restored to include five-star facilities, including internal and external lounge areas, a dining space, full kitchen, modern bathroom and state-of-the-art entertainment system.

With the Harbour Bridge and Opera House providing the iconic backdrop throughout the experience, guests will dine on canapes prepared by nearby providore and kitchen Three Blind Mice while sipping cocktails handcrafted by SYP.

The new experience, which will run throughout Vivid, is in total a 90 minute cruise.

The new on-board experience makes up some of the new ‘Luxury Escapes Experiences’ offerings, which began launching in 2019.

Since their debut, the experiences have expanded globally with limited offerings available for purchase when booking accommodation, so you can bundle them into your stay.

By mid-year, the full catalogue of experiences will go live (with 40,000 experiences globally on offer) which will be available for purchase as stand-alone experiences – meaning purchasers will no longer will you need to have a holiday booked to enjoy.

Suellen has cruised around the harbour since the ’50s.

Speaking to news.com.au, Adam Schwab who is the co-founder and CEO on Experiences, said there will be an experience for every kind of traveller.

“Our hero experience coming up is a partnership with Quay restaurant in Sydney – regarded as Australia’s number one and arguably most iconic restaurant,” he said.

“Quay and Luxury Escapes are partnering to create a private dining event exclusive to Luxury Escapes. The dining experience includes exclusive seating in Quay’s Private Dining Room, a bespoke six-course menu by Quay’s executive chef Peter Gilmore, premium wine pairing created by Quay’s head sommelier Ashlyn Foster, a signed Quay cookbook and a private kitchen tour with Quay’s head chef.”
