9 things you didn’t know about Disneyland’s star treatment

Celebs and A-listers alike get the star treatment pretty much everywhere they go and it turns out Disneyland is no exception.

All the secrets you never knew about Disneyland

Celebs and A-listers alike get the star treatment pretty much everywhere they go and Disneyland is no exception.

But there are a few things the rich and famous can’t charm their way around.

1. Jump in the line

For celebrities that can’t seem to go anywhere without chaos erupting, Disney parks allow them to jump to the front of the line when queuing up for rides.

Celebs who are less likely to be recognised at the park instead can get an unlimited FastPass – meaning that they only have to queue at peak hour for 10 to 20 minutes.

2. They have alternative entrances

With that said, celebs don’t have to queue up at the front gates or walk through a ride to get to the front – there are secret entries and exits all over the park so the Beyoncés of the world can enjoy their day at Disney without being hassled.

3. They’re often accompanied by an official Disney tour guide

But there’s good news – you don’t have to be a celebrity to receive your own private guide in the park, you just have to be willing to pay the hourly rate (estimated between USD$125 and $150 per hour).

4. Front row seats for the parades

Another perk of being a celebrity at Disneyland (and also purchasing a VIP Tour) is that you score front row seats at all the parades. No need to sit down in the street for hours.

5. Getting access to Club 33 isn’t any easier

Disney’s members only club is one of the most sought-after experiences at Disney’s parks, but you can’t just rock up and think you’ll be allowed in. Club 33 is a members-only lounge. Members have to pay USD$33,000 to join and the annual fee is $15,000.

6. Meet and greets are a lot easier

When the likes of Mickey, Minnie and of course Elsa are spotted in the park, a large queue is often nearby. If you’re a noteworthy celebrity (or have that handy VIP tour), getting a photo with your favourite character is a walk in the park.

7. They still have to make reservations

If you’re a popular TV star and want a prime positioned table at the Blue Bayou on a Saturday with no notice, you’ll unfortunately have to wait in line just like everyone else. Unless you’re Johnny Depp, Tom Hanks or one of the few Disney elite who have made the House of Mouse a killing over the years, there is no chance of having a special table set aside for you. Moral of story? Always book ahead.

8. Nothing’s free

If you thought the Kardashians and Marvel stars get in for free – think again. Nothing’s free at Disneyland, and celebrities are no exception to that rule.

9. There’s one place that’s still off limits even to the A-listers

And that’s Walt Disney’s apartment above the fire station. Nearly 55 years after his death, Walt is still technically in charge and basically no one (except for the Disney elite – think Tom Hanks or Julie Andrews) gets to see Walt’s private apartment.
