World’s biggest jumping castle coming to Australia
It’s been a rough two years thanks to the Covid pandemic – but you’ll soon be able to bounce all those woes away on the world’s largest jumping castle.
It’s been a long two years under the Covid pandemic – with lockdowns and travel bans putting a spanner in the plans of millions of Aussies.
But you’ll soon be able to bounce all those woes away, when the world’s largest jumping castle returns to Australia this summer.
Big Bounce Australia kicked off its Down Under tour back in 2019, unveiling its Guinness World Record certified jumping castle to the public.
An all-inclusive ticket doesn’t just include a turn on its massive jumping castle – you also get access to a 300m-long inflatable obstacle course, and a three-part space-themed course.
Big Bounce Australia will tour the nation this summer with family sessions and adults only times up for grabs.
The entry fee gives ticketholders three hours of unlimited access to The Giant and airSPACE plus a timed slot for the world’s biggest bounce house, within the three hours.
Parents are free to attend to watch their children, but will need a separate ticket if they want to enter the inflatable attractions.
The world’s biggest jumping castle covers a massive 1500sq m and has sections reaching up to 10m tall.
Each area of the castle has a unique theme and different entertainment.
You’ll find everything from giant slides, obstacle runs, ball pits, climbing towers and basketball hoops to massive inflatable characters.
And at the very centre of the jumping castle, DJs will keep you bouncing in time on a custom-built stage to blast out tunes.
After spending time on the world’s biggest jumping castle, you can head to ‘The Giant’, a course more than 300m in length, with 50 inflatable obstacles to beat.
Finally, airSPACE is for all the social media influencers out there with its space-themed course filled with aliens, spaceships and moon craters.
And when you’re finally spent, food trucks sit just next to the bouncing obstacles to replenish all that work you just did.
Everyone can be in on the fun
The company was founded by UK friends Cameron Craig and Grahame Ferguson.
The idea for Big Bounce came about when the founders were working together at a music festival in the UK.
While there were some family attractions there, including the usual type of kids’ jumping castle, they watched bored parents mill around while their children had fun jumping and bouncing.
Mr Craig and Mr Ferguson made their debut in 2017 with just 15 events, before it expanded to 52 in 2018.
By 2019, the founders hosted more than 70 events across the world.
“This event is all about having fun, so we wanted to bring it to the people who live in one of the most fun places on Earth,” Mr Craig said, when talking about why the company was bringing it to Australia.
Big Bounce Australia will head to Perth between November 26 and 28 this year before running over multiple weekends in December.
Brisbane Big Bounce fans will get a chance to visit the course on January 14, 15 and 16 and January 21, 22 and 23.
Dates for Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle and Geelong are yet to be announced, but they are all listed for this summer.
• Toddler Sessions for kids aged three and under: $29 per person.
• Junior sessions for kids aged seven and under: $45 per person.
• Bigger kid sessions for those aged 15 and under: $45 per person.
• Adult-only sessions, for people aged 16 and over: $55
