Virgin Airlines has extended its marketing blitz, offering cheap fares to NSW, Queensland and Victoria for as low as $75 for another week.

Virgin Australia has extended its marketing blitz, offering fares from $75 for another week.

The airline beefed up its services between NSW, Queensland and Victoria after state border restrictions were eased, releasing almost two million sale fares starting at $75.

The Let The Good Times Fly sale was to last until midnight on Monday, but it has been extended another week.

“We have already sold thousands of fares and we look forward to giving more Australians the opportunity to fly again, to go on holiday, to reunite with family and friends and to do business, thanks to cheaper fares, free flexibility and double Velocity Points,” a Virgin Australia Group spokesman said.

“We’re committed to providing all Australians with great value fares to help reboot the Australian tourism industry and get more of our people back to work.”

Sale fares are for travel between April 21 and September 15 and include checked baggage, seat selection and Velocity frequent flyer points.

Routes include between Sydney to Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Ballina and Coffs Harbour, Melbourne to Adelaide, and Brisbane to Mackay and the Whitsunday Coast.

The airline’s Velocity members earn double points when they activate and book an eligible Virgin Australia domestic flight by February 17.

Virgin Australia is also expected to announce that it will match Qantas’s flexible booking policy on Wednesday, enabling change and cancel fees to be waived for travel up to January 31, 2022 when a booking is made by April 30.
