Virgin Australia drops massive sale across its entire network, with flights from $49

Virgin Australia has just dropped another massive sale with flights to this popular destination starting from just $49.

Virgin Australia has announced another sale with flights to Byron Bay from as little as $49.

It comes less than two weeks after the airline’s Leap Day sale on February 29 where it dropped prices even further, to $35.

The new sale includes more than 900,000 sale fares across the airline’s entire network.

It’s on now until midnight Monday, March 18 AEST, on select flights for travel between March 25, 2024 and December 12, 2024 (unless sold out prior).

Virgin Australia has flights to Aussie hotspot Byron Bay from just $49, one-way.

Samoa, Fiji and Bali all have reduced airfares with the cheapest destination being Byron Bay with a flight from Sydney to Ballina from $49 one-way on Economy Lite.

Those keen to explore Launceston can do so for just $59 from Melbourne, while the Sunshine Coast is also on offer for $69 from Sydney.

Those planning a trip to the Gold Coast can travel from Canberra and Melbourne for $99.

Meanwhile, if you’re yet to explore Hamilton Island or Cairns, flights start at $129 and $139 from Melbourne.

If Vanuatu is on your wish list, there’s return flights from Brisbane, start at $519.

International fare highlights include Sydney to Queenstown return from $435, Adelaide to Bali from $449 and the same price from the Gold Coast.

If Vanuatu has been on your bucket-list, now would be a good time with return flights from Brisbane starting at $519.

Otherwise, another popular island destination is Fiji, with prices starting from $529 from Brisbane.

The picturesque Samoa also has reduced airfares, starting from $619, from Brisbane.

Japan is becoming the go-to destination for Aussies with flights to Tokyo starting from $679, from Cairns.

The airline is also offering value deals for April 2024 including Sydney to Melbourne from $69 one way on Economy Lite and Sydney to Cairns from $129.

All Virgin Australia fares include Velocity Frequent Flyer Points and Status Credits with eligible bookings.

Last week, the airline revealed its passengers who have pets could soon take their furry friends with them on a Virgin flight.

“The reality is that 70 per cent of our passengers would love to have their fur babies on-board with them,” Virgin Australia Group CEO, Jayne Hrdlicka told news.com.au.

“So for us it’s really important to be able to innovate and lead and show the way, and to satisfy a really important desire of the majority of Australians to travel with their fur babies.”

Ms Hrdlicka said it’s for small dogs and small cats only and that the animal must fit into a predefined space underneath the seat in front of the passenger.

She also said they must fit into a predefined carrier and stay in it at the airport and on-board the aircraft.

If given the green light, it will likely launch the service within 12 months.
