Jetstar has just dropped another huge sale.

On Tuesday, it announced its 48-hour return for free sale across 64 domestic and 33 international destinations.

The sale ends at 11.59pm AEST on Thursday, May 2, unless sold out prior.

However, if you missed out on heading to your favourite destination, the budget airline has just revealed it’s having another sale with prices starting from $29.

Melburnians will be able to snap up fares to the Whitsunday Coast from just $29 on Friday, while Sydneysiders can find seats to Hobart for the same low price.

The Aussie airline is celebrating its 20th birthday this month and is offering 29,000 fares for just $29 over five days or until sold out.

The sale kicks off at 9am AEST on Friday, May 3.

The $29 one-way fares will be available across 82 domestic routes on select travel dates.

They include Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Whitsunday Coast, Brisbane to Newcastle, Sydney to Hobart, Adelaide to Brisbane, Perth to Gold Coast, and Sydney to Ballina Byron.

Checked baggage is not included in the fare.

There will also be other discounted fares across the entire Jetstar network on sale, but the 29,000 $29 fares are nod to the airline’s beginnings.

Jetstar launched with $29 sale fares in 2004.

In celebration of 20 years in business, the airline also remade its iconic ad ‘Let’s Fly Jetstar’ that first hit TV screens across the country all those years ago.

The original ad featured Aussie actress Magda Szubanski and while she sadly isn’t in the newly-created version, it instead features some of Jetstar’s crew along with selected customers who won a competition with their real-life stories adapted into the advert.

Father and daughter, Tony and Jade Neal from Cameron Park outside Newcastle were passengers on the very first Jetstar flight from Newcastle to Melbourne on May 25, 2004 and were selected to take part in filming.

Jade was just two years old when the airline launched and appears in the ad as a 22-year-old. Her mother collected photos, newspaper clippings and other mementos from the historic day in 2004, which were shared with the crew during filming.
