There’s nothing like a bit of supermarket rivalry with Coles dropping its new ski range just two weeks after Aldi.
The German retailer brought back its highly anticipated Special Buys range after a two-year hiatus on May 20.
But if you missed out on that, fear not because Coles’ ‘famous’ ski range will be on sale for the first time ever online at bestbuys.coles.com.au from today.
The entire range is from Decathlon with accessories from $19, thermals at $29 each and snow jackets and pants at $59 each.
“We’re always looking at ways to inspire our customers through our Coles Best Buys range with products you don’t usually see at the supermarket,” a Coles spokesperson told news.com.au.
“There’s everything from bedding to homewares, fitness equipment and tech.
“With the snow season around the corner, this is the perfect time to offer Aussies great value and quality snow gear by trusted alpine brand Decathlon with prices you can’t get find anywhere else.”
Instead of rushing in-store and having to line up to nab items, the entire range will available online.
The cheapest out of the more than 50 products in the exclusive range is the Decathlon Adult Downhill Ski Gloves, which are waterproof with lightweight wadding, for $19 each.
There’s a bunch of items for $29 — they include the Decathlon Wedze top and bottom baselayers for men and women.
The kids don’t miss out either with Wedze pants for $35 each and both girls and boys jackets for $45 each.
The most expensive item is the Wedze Cross 950+ Aline skis at $899 each, but according to Coles, it’s significantly cheaper than some of the big brands.
“We know many households are experiencing budget pressures at this time and heading to the snow can be very expensive especially for families,” Coles general manager for health and home, Deb Galle said.
“But with our range of Decathlon apparel and accessories, adults can get dressed from head to toe for just $250 per person and kids for around $170 each – this includes a complete set of thermals, ski jacket and pants, ski gloves, goggles and helmet.
“Aussie families can deck out their family of four with high-quality gear including apparel, helmets, goggles and gloves for just $850, taking the pressure off some of the costs associated with a trip to the snow.”
The Coles Best Buys Ski Ready range is available exclusively online now until June 10.
