Summer may be over, but flight sales to some of the most popular corners of the country are well and truly heating up – with some as little as $55.

Summer may be over, but flight sales across the country are well and truly heating up.

Virgin Australia today launched a huge sale on 750,000 seats from various ports to Melbourne from as a low as $55.

Running until midnight this Friday, March 18, 2022, or until sold out, the sale hopes to help travellers explore everything that Victoria has to offer.

With all Australian state and territory borders now open, the airline expects seats to sell out quickly.

One-way economy fare highlights include:

• Hobart-Melbourne/Melbourne-Hobart from $55

• Launceston-Melbourne-/Melbourne-Launceston from $55

• Newcastle-Melbourne/Melbourne-Newcastle from $59

• Sydney-Melbourne/Melbourne-Sydney from $69

• Adelaide-Melbourne/Melbourne-Adelaide from $79

• Ballina-Melbourne/Melbourne-Ballina from $85

• Gold Coast-Melbourne/Melbourne-Gold Coast from $89

• Sunshine Coast-Melbourne/Melbourne-Sunshine Coast from $95

Flights to Ballina are included in the sale, meaning you can head to nearby Byron Bay.

The sale comes as Jetstar launched the airline’s first direct flights to Bali on Monday, with hundreds of Aussies descending on Melbourne Airport to get to the Indonesian island.

More than 300 passengers were booked on the first flight to Denpasar International Airport with passengers flocking to Melbourne with their stack of documents in hand.
