Japanese hotel offers women crying rooms
IT MAY seem like your average hotel, but this place is hiring out rooms to guests who want to do something rather unusual.
A JAPANESE hotel has launched a special offer for women: A room to cry in.
The room contains a selection of films including Forrest Gump and the South Korean film A Moment to Remember, especially chosen to tug on the heartstrings, said a spokeswoman for the Mitsui Garden Yotsuya hotel in Tokyo.
There is also a collection of manga comics recommended by a book seller to make women cry.
Crying helps people combat stress, the spokeswoman said.
And so that the women can dry their tears, the rooms will also have high quality tissues, makeup remover and steam eye masks, the hotel said.
Mitsui Garden Yotsuya hotel is charging 10,000 Japanese yen per night $106) for the special promotion, which is available until August 31.
