Family’s horror $7000 holiday with ‘dirty’ and ‘stained’ bedsheets
What was supposed to be an amazing first holiday for a family-of-four turned out to be a $7000 nightmare trip.
A woman said she was forced to sleep on a “piece of wood” during a $7000 nightmare holiday – and that was just the start of her problems on the trip.
Sarah Kershaw, from Greater Manchester, in the UK, took her family on an all-inclusive holiday to Turkey in July this year.
What was supposed to be an amazing first holiday for Sarah, 42, husband Stephen and kids Paige, 16, Patrick, 13, and Stephanie, 12, turned out to be “disgusting”, The Sun reports.
The family-of-five had the trip rescheduled twice due to Covid-19 – which they had to fork out extra money for on top of the $7000 they’d already paid.

And when they arrived at Mirage World, Icmeler, Sarah claims they were met with dirty bedsheets, a used shower and marks in the toilet.
The case worker told the Manchester Evening News, “We were all excited – but we got there only to find a disgusting hotel room in a disgusting part of the complex.”
Sarah said the food wasn’t up to scratch either and the mattresses were “dirty” and “stained”.
Suffering from back problems, she said the “piece of wood which was made up like a camp bed” meant she didn’t sleep all week.
The mum-of-three also claims the shower looked like it had been used and there were towels which hadn’t been washed.
“The reason we haven’t been able to go on holiday is because my husband was made redundant in 2012 and we lost our home,” Sarah added.
She explained how her family got into major debt and were even homeless at one point.
“We were finally able to afford to go on holiday, that’s why this was important to us,” she added.
After complaining to travel company loveholidays, they received a “gesture of goodwill” payment of $400.
A spokesman for the company said: “We’re sorry to hear that Ms Kershaw’s holiday did not live up to expectations.
“Once she had returned home, we raised her issues with the accommodation provider but, as no complaints were made at the time, they were unable to investigate or resolve any issues she may have had during her stay.
“We have therefore offered her a gesture of goodwill, which she has accepted.”
Sarah is trying to get back as much of her money as possible and claims she did complain to staff while on the holiday.
