World’s highest infinity pool opens in Dubai

The world’s highest infinity pool is finally open - with visitors being able to swim at dizzying heights, 200m in the air.

The world’s highest infinity pool is finally open - a spot where visitors can take a dip at the dizzying height of 200m.

The Aura Skypool in Dubai, describes itself as the world’s highest 360-degree infinity pool.

The pol offers insane views of the Dubai skyline, Palm Jumierah, the iconic palm sand island and the Arabian Gulf horizon.

Suspended a whopping 200m above the air, visitors can book three different sessions - one in the morning, a sunset session or an all-day visit.

An all-day session at the pool starts from $A137 while the morning session is the cheapest - starting from $A62.

Each ticket includes a sunbed, a “bespoke welcome pack” and access to the pool’s lounge.

The pool sits on the 50th floor of Palm Tower, a massive skyscraper that sits at the bottom of Dubai’s Palm Jumierah island.

The pool surrounds a 750m-square lounge space, with visitors free to book custom-made lounges or seating to enjoy the sweeping views.

Antonio Gonzalez, the CEO of Sunset Hospitality and the company behind the pool, spoke about the tower’s uniqueness last month.

“Aura is truly unlike any other destination in the UAE and the world,” he said.

“With 360-degree views of some of the world’s most iconic sights, from the man-made Palm Jumeirah - celebrating this year 20 years since its construction - through to Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa and Ain Dubai – all in one view, it’s a breathtaking new destination that will continue to showcase the very best of Dubai.”

Two floors above the pool, sits The Viet At The Palm, a 360-degree observation deck for tourists.

The Palm Tower also houses a St Regis hotel with close to 300 rooms.

“Home to chic yet comfortable custom-made sunbeds and lounges, guests are treated to a 360-degree swimming experience with a stunning backdrop to capture that picture-perfect photo,” Aura Skypool said in a statement.

“Natural materials, stone and concrete were implemented in designing the space.

“Lush greenery and natural design elements fuse with high-end interior finishes, creating an elegant oasis fuelled by a socially energetic atmosphere.”

Aura Skypool is open each day from 10am to sunset.

The pool and its surrounding lounge is also open for corporate or private events.
