UAE revealed as most popular tourist destination for 2021

Forget lounging around in Bali or chasing the sun in Hawaii, because this is where everyone wants to visit overseas in 2021.

Forget booking a villa in Bali, or chasing the sun while staying in Hawaii – because according to a new study, all eyes are now on a holiday in the desert.

Global travel company Kuoni has revealed that, according to Google, tourists around the world will be visiting the UAE – as it’s emerged as the most searched destination for tourism in 2021.

Dubai is tipped to be a popular spot for tourists to visit in 2021 if international travel allows.

Home to Dubai, the popular city which opened to tourists amid the coronavirus pandemic earlier this month, the study showed that the UAE was the ‘most searched’ for holiday spot for 2021 around 131 country respondents.

“Each of the seven emirates has its own characteristics, but they’re all an excellent destination for some winter sun,” a spokesperson for Kuoni said.

“Dubai has a futuristic style with soaring skyscrapers, epic shopping malls and long stretches of beach, Fujairah has some incredible snorkelling spots and Ras Al Khaimah draws beach lovers to its beautiful coastline.”

According to the study, other destinations which rated highly for tourists dreaming to visit include Egypt and Canada.

Aussies have put Fiji at the top of their list, followed by Japan, New Zealand and Bali coming in at number four on the ‘most searched’ holiday destination for 2021.
