Dudley’s life was saved by the kindness of strangers
HE WAS ripped from his mother’s arms at just one month old and lost his foot when it was wrapped in twine and no-one noticed. This is Dudley.
AT JUST a month old Dudley was ripped from his mother’s arms and ended up with hundreds of others who had also been taken from their mother’s as babies.
By the time he turned one, Dudley’s trauma of being taken from his mother was compounded when he lost his foot after twine became wrapped around it and no one noticed.
After the foot fell off, the tendons on his working leg began to deteriorate and his body began to shut down.
Then a man who worked where he was staying took pity on Dudley. He called in a charity who rushed Dudley into emergency surgery to save his little life.
After multiple operations, as well as the fitting of a prosthetic foot and months of rehabilitation Dudley was in the clear.
He now spends his life taking care of children and adults in need.
“He enjoys fresh air and running and playing and being alive” said Ellie Weiner one of the many people who helped save Dudley’s life.
“He found life again.”
Oh, and by the way ... Dudley is a cow.
