Superfan now dating her idol after tweeting him for five years

IF YOU think celebrity crushes never read your adoring tweets, don’t be so sure. This rather creepy love story proves there’s still hope.

IF you thought those celebrity crushes of yours never read your adoring tweets, think again.

For five long years superfan Danielle Ceasar, from New York, tweeted her idol, young American actor Jake T. Austin, telling him how much she loved and admired him.

It seemed unlikely 21-year-old Jake, a Nickelodeon regular best known for his role as Max Russo, the youngest of three wizards in Disney Channel series Wizard of Waverly Place, would ever notice her.

After all, the star has 3.6 million Twitter followers and 1.3 million fans on Instagram.

Only a little creepy.
Only a little creepy.

But in 2011, the unexpected happened.

After Danielle met Jake at a signing in New York, the actor started following her back.

Spurred on by the encouragement Danielle, 22, continued to express her undying devotion to Jake.

For a further four years she persisted, tweeting him after spying photos of him online and praising him on his acting success.

It seems to work

When Jake landed a role as Jesus Foster in The Fosters, Danielle tuned in religiously every Monday, expressing great excitement when Jake appeared shirtless on screen.

And her persistence seems to have paid off.

Two weeks ago Jake posted this romantic snap of the pair of them, writing: “I’m crazy for her.”

The snap was liked by more than 128,000 people, with 18,300 rushing to share their appreciation of the incredible story.

Well played, lady. Well played.
Well played, lady. Well played.

“FANGIRL GOALS OMG”, while many others tagged their own celebrity crushes, commenting “this could be us, but you’re playing hard to get,” wrote one user.

Danielle posted the picture on her own Instagram page, writing: “Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favourite”.

Miracles do happen.
