Tesla owners doxxed in chilling ‘Dogequest’ map
Horrified Tesla owners in the US have lashed out at a website encouraging people to vandalise their cars.
Tesla owners have reacted with horror to a public website broadcasting their names, addresses and contact details in the US.
Dogequest, a site for people “on the hunt for a Tesla”, sensationally “doxxed” Tesla owners and people attached to the Trump Administration’s Department of Government Efficiency with an interactive map with personal information.

The site published the home, phone number and personal email address of FBI director Kash Patel as part of what Tesla chief executive Elon Musk described as “extreme domestic terrorism”.
It was shut down overnight.

The website adopted a molotov cocktail as its cursor and said it “neither endorses nor condemns any actions” by protesters. Rather than explicitly calling for Tesla vehicles or locations to be firebombed, it claimed to be “facilitating a vibrant community through shared contact information” in a manner that could “revolutionise the way DOGE fans and Tesla owners can connect and explore!”

Members of the Tesla community on Reddit were shocked by the development.
“Are you serious? I bought a Tesla to stop polluting and save on gas,” one said.
“Doge members are fair game but targeting individual Tesla owners isn’t good morally or optically,” said another.
“Instead of going after the f---ing billionaires that are dismantling democracy before our eyes, let’s go after normal people who bought the ‘wrong brand’ of car,” another user said.

The controversial website follows numerous acts of vandalism against Tesla vehicles and dealerships, including the apparent firebombing of Tesla cars in Las Vegas this week.
Police described the Las Vegas incident as “a targeted attack against a Tesla facility”.
Musk said “this level of violence is insane and deeply wrong,” Musk said. “Tesla just makes electric cars and has done nothing to deserve these evil attacks.”
Tesla showrooms have been shot at, set on fire and vandalised by people protesting against the brand and its leader, Elon Musk.

Tesla Takeover protests have also resulted in people picketing showrooms to discourage potential customers from purchasing a car.
The protests have contributed to a dire drop in Tesla’s share price, which has almost halved following record highs in December.
Sales for the brand have dropped by about 70 per cent in major markets such as Germany and Australia.
