Porsche’s ultra rare super yacht is worth over $21 million — and just seven will be made
AFTER keeping fans waiting for months, Porsche has finally launched its hybrid super yacht — and the water bird is certainly opulent.
PORSCHE has joined the likes of Bugatti and Lamborghini by launching their own super yacht.
A collaborative effort with Monaco-based yacht builder Dynamiq and Studio F.A Porsche, the 35 metre vessel has been given a price tag of just over $21 million.
Dynamiq will construct a series of just seven of the exclusive all-aluminium crafts, which they say will be deeply embedded with “Porsche DNA” with designs taken from the upcoming Porsche Mission E electric car.
Dubbed the Dynamiq GTT 115 Hybrid, the first finalised yacht hit the water in Italy this week — but the exclusive series won’t be officially released until the Monaco Yacht Show on September 27.
Speaking in Viareggio, Italy, Dynamiq CEO Sergei Dobroserdov said: “The launch is the culmination of a long process of design and development to introduce a new kind of superyacht to the market.
“The modern gentlemen’s superyacht, the GTT 115 draws on the latest technology to combine comfortable high-speed cruising over 21 knots with efficient fuel consumption and long range of more than 3,400 nautical miles (6296 kilometres).
“GTT 115 is undoubtedly the most advanced superyacht at the Monaco Yacht Show with her round-bilge hull form, podded propulsion, Hull Vane and exclusively developed stabilisation system with 4 fins and interceptors.”
“We decided to limit production to seven units to make the GTT 115 a true collector’s item.”
The bespoke hybrid system has three variable-speed generators meaning it’s as eco-friendly as a massive super yacht can be.
And it measures in at 35 meters with huge luxury lounge areas making it appear even bigger.
Fitted with seven-foot-high ceilings on both decks, the spacious cabins are lined with carbon fibre and marble detailing throughout, with furniture and throw-pillows finished with the same material as the seats in a Porsche 911R.
The boat has been designed to cater for a maximum of 12 people — six passengers and six crew members.
The vessel runs on two MAN diesel engines with a combined 12,594 horsepower, and also runs as a hybrid using two 20.8 kW electric motors.
At full tilt, the GTT 115 Hyrid can reach a blistering 21 knots (39km/h) while in diesel only mode.
According to F.A Studio Porsche CEO, Roland Heiler, the yacht seeks to take the high-performance styling seen in the German sports cars and apply it to the modern vessel.
