IN WHAT could be the geekiest slanging match of all time, Microsoft's anti-Google campaign continues in full force as it enlists reality TV show Pawn Stars to slam Google's Chromebook laptop, calling it a "brick" in its latest ad.

As Google owns YouTube, not surprisingly the clip isn't to be found there, but you can view it here.

The "Scroogle" campaign is Microsoft's war against Google and the way its browser targets users to sell them advertisements. First blood came when Microsoft opened an online store selling items such as mugs and T-shirts with slogans like "Keep calm while we steal your data."

Now, in its latest move on the browser battlefield Microsoft has enlisted the cast of American TV's Pawn Stars to lampoon the Google Chromebook - a laptop that needs to be connected to the internet in order to access most of its features.

The Pawn Stars, who offer cash to hopeful Americans who come to sell all kinds of crazy possessions, laugh at the Chromebook in this contrived clip calling it a "brick" that's "not a real laptop".

Despite looking like he's reading from an autocue, the Pawn Stars make a point by saying: "a traditional PC uses built-in applications such as iTunes or Office, even when you are offline.

"Without wi-fi it doesn't do much at all and when you are online Google tracks what you do so they can sell ads, that's how you get Scroogled."

We can't wait to see how Google responds or what Microsoft does next.
