Twitch streamer unbanned one week after having sex live on stream

Small Twitch streamer Kimmikka got banned last week after being caught in the act while live.

A Twitch streamer has had her ban for having sex online reversed.

Kimmikka started a stream on August 24 where she was replying to messages from those in her chat, however, something was odd about it.

During the stream, someone was crouching behind her in the shot, and she didn’t seem to be sitting on anything stable.

For those watching, it quickly became apparent what was going on, and a clip posted on the popular LiveStreamFails subreddit showed that she was indeed having sex live on stream, as the reflection of her partner could be seen in the window in the background of the shot.

Kimmikka’s ban has been reversed

She was quickly banned for the incident, but it seems that the ban wasn’t as severe as people had initially thought. Despite seeming like quite a serious incident, the ban has been lifted just seven days later, and Kimmikka is free to start streaming on the platform again.

Many think this is a light punishment, especially given Twitch’s previous record of being particularly harsh on explicit content.

The reason Kimmikka likely didn’t receive anything more permanent is that, although what she was doing was obvious to viewers, no explicit content appeared on-screen. After the incident, she stated that what happened was a “drunken accident”, so it’s unlikely anything similar will happen again.

Kimmikka may have actually benefited from the incident, as since her account was unbanned, her follower count has increased almost tenfold, jumping from just over 200 followers to almost 2,000. She hasn’t officially announced a return to streaming yet, but she’ll likely receive a boost in viewership if she does.
