Twitch and YouTube streamer and activist Clara “Keffals” Sorrenti has started a campaign against a “doxxing” website after being forced into hiding and arrested since she was targeted on the platform.

The campaign against Sorrenti was launched on “KiwiFarms”, a website dedicated to doxxing and harassing internet personalities, especially LGBTQ+ people.

Doxxing is internet slang for posting personal information about someone, such as a home address or phone number, on a public website for others to use (often for harassment purposes).

Sorrenti has been in hiding, bouncing between undisclosed Airbnbs since a sick fake email sent to police led a SWAT team to bust into her home and arrest her.

She relocated to a hotel in her city, but after posting a picture of her hotel room, KiwiFarms was able to locate her based on the sheets of her hotel bed. The hate site then proceeded to order pizzas and have them delivered using Sorrenti’s “deadname” — the name assigned to her at birth rather than the chosen name she now goes by.

Sorrenti announced via Twitter that she had set up a new website and campaign, named “#DropKiwifarms”, with the goal of getting KiwiFarms and its owner Joshua Moon dropped from its hosting platform Cloudflare. Cloudflare has previously ignored all requests to de-platform KiwiFarms, including after a non-binary programmer took their own life following a relentless harassment campaign.

Sorrenti’s DropKiwifarms urges people to contribute either by contacting Cloudflare or by donating to fund legal fees. Additionally, there is a planned protest outside the Cloudflare Connect conference, being hosted in San Francisco on October 18th, with Sorrenti stating that she has been in contact with several activist groups. On the site, she urges Cloudflare to drop KiwiFarms before then to avoid a “PR disaster”.

There is precedent for the hosting platform to drop the hate site — previously, Cloudflare has dropped similar websites known for extremist and hateful behaviour, such as The Daily Stormer and 8chan. These websites featured racist, anti-Semitic and anti-LGBTQ+ content similar to KiwiFarms.

Anyone interested in contributing or otherwise getting involved can use the Keffals subreddit for organisation purposes.
