Controversial Twitch streamer Adin Ross has been called out by fellow streamers over his claims that “hot tub” streams are “poisonous”.

Ross returned to Twitch after a one-week ban on January 21, and immediately started causing controversy on the platform.

The streamer said that Twitch should ban hot tub streams, which are live videos in which streamers talk to viewers while in a hot tub or bath, comparing them to gambling streams.

“I saw one person that lost a lot of money to gambling,” Ross said in the stream, “You guys banned gambling, you guys moved on it quick. I think we have a problem Twitch. I think the hot tub streams should be banned from Twitch. It’s a portal to [adult streaming website] OnlyFans. It’s in the same category as gambling”.

Ross went on to claim that the streams were “promoting poison” in the brain, and that they were feeding an addiction, as reported by Dexerto.

The statement hasn’t gone down well with many other Twitch streamers, with many calling Ross out on social media.

In response to a video of the statements Adriana Chechik, a former porn star turned Twitch streamer, slammed Ross on Twitter, saying he was “one of the most disrespectful” people she’s ever met.

She accused him of having no respect for women, and said that he “clout chases after sex workers for views”.

Chechik previously broke her back at TwitchCon, after jumping into a foam pit. She then had to have multiple surgeries, and later said that she had been pregnant at the time of the fall, with the pregnancy having to be terminated due to the accident.

Chechik wasn’t the only streamer pushing back against Ross’ claims. Popular streamer Hasan also quoted the video on Twitter, alongside a screenshot of a number of suggestive video thumbnails from Ross, saying “lil bro just wants to corner the market”.

Chechik followed up by tweeting out a screenshot of a video hosted on Ross’ YouTube page, showing that he once did a hot tub livestream himself alongside adult Twitch streamer Amouranth.

Adin Ross has been the subject of a number of controversies in his time on Twitch, having been banned multiple times from the platform over his use of homophobic slurs. The streamer then struck up a friendship with controversial influencer Andrew Tate, and defended Tate after he’d been arrested by Romanian police for suspected human trafficking.
