Twitch streamer QTCinderella has vowed to sue a porn site that hosted digitally altered videos depicting the likeness of her and many other high profile streamer women.

It comes shortly after popular streamer Atrioc apologised over the deepfake porn scandal, after viewers noticed a web browser tab with the content while he was streaming.

Following the circulation of the clip, Atrioc went live on stream and tearfully apologised for viewing the content.

Atrioc has since announced he’s stepping down from streaming, further apologising for his actions and the harm it’s done to streamers such as Pokimane and Maya, two other victims of the site.

“Your names were dragged into it and you were sexualised against your will,” Atrioc said, “You have both succeeded in this industry in spite of all the blatant unfounded sexist attempts to hurt or assassinate your character in a male dominated space. And now I’m another guy on that long list. I’m sorry I didn’t reach out sooner, I’m sorry my actions have led to further exploitation of you and your body, and I’m sorry your experience is not uncommon.”

Atrioc also said that he would be trying his “absolute hardest to combat the damage” he caused, offering to cover the legal fees of all victims who wish to attempt taking down the websites through legal action.

One such streamer who’s said that she would be taking the websites on is QTCinderella, who went live on Twitch shortly after Atrioc’s stream to talk about the scandal. In an emotional stream, QTCinderella lashed out at Atrioc and the culture of sexual objectification on the internet.

“F*** the f***ing internet. F*** the constant exploitation and objectification of women, it’s exhausting. F*** Atrioc for showing it to thousands of people. F*** the people DMing me pictures of myself from that website. F*** you all”, she said during the short and emotional broadcast.

She continued: “And to the person that made that website, I’m going to f***ing sue you. I promise you, with every part of my soul. I’m going to f***ing sue you.”

Sweet Anita, a streamer whose image appears on the deepfake website, said she found out because of the tweet.

“I literally choose to pass up millions by not going into sex work and some random cheeto encrusted porn addict solicits my body without my consent instead,” Sweet Anita said, “Don’t know whether to cry, break stuff or laugh at this point”.

Pokimane, one of the streamers depicted in the video Atrioc had been watching, also responded to the situation on Twitter, simply saying “Stop sexualising people without their consent. That’s it, that’s the tweet”.

Pokimane recently spoke out about the possibility of future AI streamers, saying that it was “kind of scary” how good AI has become in recent years.

Meanwhile, American conservationist and streamer Maya Elaine Higa wrote a heart wrenching post about the scandal.

“In 2018, I was inebriated at a party and I was used for a man’s sexual gratification without my consent, “she wrote in a statement on Twitter.

“Today, I have been used by hundreds of men for sexual gratification without my consent. The world calls my 2018 experience rape. The world is debating over the validity of my experience today. The debate over our experience as women in this is, not shockingly, amongst men. None of you should care or listen to what any male streamer’s ‘take’ is on how we feel.”

She continued: “I founded a non-profit animal sanctuary at 22 years old. I have raised over $1 million for conservation work at 24 years old. I have created zero sexual content in my three years on Twitch. Despite this, my face was stolen so men could make me into a sexual object to use for themselves.

“If anyone doesn’t think it’s a big deal that MY NAME is in headlines where thousands of people are commenting on the sexualisation of MY BODY against MY WILL, you are the problem. This situation makes me feel disgusting, vulnerable, nauseous, and violated - and all of these feelings are far too familiar to me. This is not your debate. Stop acting like it is.”
