APPLE’S digital assistant Siri is set to get a makeover as a cricket tragic, being able to provide game scores and player stats at your command.

How to send money with Siri

APPLE’S digital assistant Siri is set to become a cricket tragic.

There has been plenty of rumours and leaks about the upcoming update to the mobile operating system, including a cinema mode so you can use your iPhone in the movies and the ability to find your AirPods if they get lost. But for many Australians this could be the best update yet.

When iOS 10.3 comes out in a few weeks, Siri will have extra powers as a provider of cricket information.

If you want to know the score in a cricket match, you will be able to ask for it with a “Hey Siri” command.

Siri will have cricket sports scores and stats for the Indian Premier League and International Cricket Council matches.

• Along with the score, questions that Siri will be able to answer include:

• Who took the most wickets last year in the IPL?

• Show me Virat Kohli’s stats.

• How are the Royal Challengers Bangalore doing?

• When is the next cricket match?

The addition of cricket knowledge for Siri is just the latest move as Apple, Google and Amazon look to pitch their digital assistants against each other.
