CLARRY Conners will prepare brilliant filly Assail for the $2 million Magic Millions _ but he is still unsure who will ride her.

The champion trainer's phone has been ringing off the hook with hoops chasing the mount for the Gold Coast race since regular rider Peter Robl was suspended at Warwick Farm on Saturday.

Robl has to serve two careless riding suspensions back-to-back and is out of the saddle until January 19, a week after the Magic Millions.

Conners admitted he is spoilt for choice after several top jockeys rang for the Magic Millions ride.

"We'll have to make a decision in the next day or so about a jockey _ let's just say there are a few to choose from,'' Conners said.

It is understood Hugh Bowman and Blake Shinn are among the front-runners.

Assail vaulted to the top of Magic Millions betting when she romped away with the Wyong Magic Millions on Thursday, her second win from as many starts after she scored on debut at Warwick Farm.
