ROSEHILL

NIC ASHMAN (Daily Telegraph). Form: 55672

INZ’N’OUT

Race 7, No. 2

Disappointing first-up but there were excuses. Can atone here.

TAB Fixed Odds: $8

STEPHEN ZAMMIT (Daily Telegraph). Form: 13117

RUGGED CROSS

Race 6, No. 2

Hails from the leading stable of Chris Waller and hit the line well for a close-up fourth at Rosehill on July 4. Huge win last time out when getting through the field to score a narrow last stride win at the same track. Back to best form and no reason why he can’t repeat the dose here.

TAB Fixed Odds: $4.60

JOHN DAVIS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 61537

AEROBAR

Race 3, No. 8

Aerobar was scratched from Canterbury last weekend to be saved for this and while she had so-so form during the Brisbane winter carnival, she gets in with a feather weight and represents great value on her home track.

TAB Fixed Odds: $13

NICK QUINN (TAB). Form: 44818

COUNTRYMAN

Race 5, No. 6

Resumed with a nice run at Rosehill and steps up to 1300m where he has won twice in five previous attempts. Blake Shinn takes the ride for Gai Waterhouse and at $6 looks an each-way special.

TAB Fixed Odds: $4.60

SHAYNE O’CASS (The Sportsman). Form: 920

MORE THAN FABULOUS

Race 2, No. 6

Is a maiden taking on horses that have already won but gee he’s a nice horse. He resumed with a sensational run at Kembla on the heavy 8. He drew one but went back to last and had to thread a needle eye passage through the herd eventually going down 0.7-lens. If he gets the right tempo upfront and can find a way through (he’s drawn 3), I think he’ll finish too well for these at odds.

TAB Fixed Odds: $18

DARREN PRENDERGAST (Superracing). Form: 4409x

KIWI ELETIST

Race 8, No. 7

New Zealand four-year-old arrives in Sydney after winning three of his six starts, including his past two outings. Trainer John Sargent has his stable firing at present, so this fellow should not be underestimated with Blake Shinn on board.

TAB Fixed Odds: $9.50

MOONEE VALLEY

MATT STEWART (Herald Sun). Form: 42580

VENTURE ON

Race 5, No. 8

Good on-pace effort at Flemington last start and be in this for long way.

TAB Fixed Odds: $10

MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun). Form: 03113

LOCKROY

Race 8, No. 9

Finished on nicely down the outside rail at Flemington last start in stronger race than this. Has more upside than he’s rivals and $6 looks good each-way value.

TAB Fixed Odds: $6

SIMON MOY (Superracing) Form: 06170

CRAFTY CRUISER

Race 9, No. 1

If he wins, the sandwiches are on me. Last start was solid fourth behind Bagman over 2000m at Flemington. Grand old veteran who might upset the apple cart here. His distance range, but barrier could be a query.

TAB Fixed Odds: $8

DARYL TIMMS (Herald Sun). Form: 2026x

LORD DURANTE

Race 5, No. 3

Can improve on his last start effort and is never far away at The Valley.

TAB Fixed Odds: $8

DOOMBEN

BRAD DAVIDSON (Gold Coast Bulletin) Form: 56748

PRADNYA

Race 2 No. 9

Satirical Lass is clearly the one to beat but this horse should not be anywhere near the $26 still on offer with some bookmakers. She had to go right back from the wide gate last start and flashed home late and she should box seat here. Would like a drop of rain but she is going well nonetheless.

TAB Fixed Odds: $23

MORPHETTVILLE

LINCOLN MOORE (The Advertiser). Form: 36042

TIDY PROPHET

Race 1, No. 7

Always had ability and has struck form at the right time.

Came off the speed for a smart win at Milldura last time, this doesn’t appear a strong race and he looks good value.

TAB Fixed Odds: $4.60

BEN SCADDEN (The Advertiser). Form: 44437

RED ECLIPSE

Race 6, No. 11

If you can forget his last start, he’s an undeniable chance in this at good each-way odds. Expect him to settle just off them then come with a storming run on the Parks circuit.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.60
