Prominent owner Ozzie Kheir has swooped on an exciting New Zealand filly who will later this year be trained by Chris Waller.
Three-year-old Leica Lucy, who has won three of her four starts across the ditch including a pair of Group 3 races at 1600m, has been partially sold to Kheir.
It was a deal brokered by Mathew Becker of Group 1 Bloodstock, in conjunction with Bruce Perry.

Leica Lucy will race in partnership with her current owners and breeders, Peter and Heather Crofskey, and will continue her preparation for the 2025 New Zealand Oaks for her current trainer, Robbie Patterson.
She is the favourite to win the Oaks.
Leica Lucy is set to be seen this weekend in the Group 2 David & Karyn Ellis Fillies Classic, a 2000m race at Te Rapa.
Following next month’s New Zealand Oaks, the filly is to be transferred to Waller for future racing campaigns.
It is a method Kheir has adopted previously.
He purchased filly Scarlet Oak out of New Zealand, after a debut Matamata maiden win, and she won Group 2 The Roses during last year’s Queensland winter carnival before starting the favourite for the Group 1 Queensland Oaks where she was well beaten.
