Streaming giant Kayo reveals Owen the oracle ahead of Rugby World Cup
Owen the pink, psychic axolotl has been recruited to lend his predictions for the Rugby World Cup.
Remember Paul, the psychic octopus who shot to fame by correctly predicting eight straight results - including the final - of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in Germany?
Well look out, there’s a new oracle animal on the scene.
Say hello to Owen, the cute little axolotl who is set to bring his wisdom when multi-sports streaming service Kayo kicks off its coverage of the Rugby World Cup.
The streaming giant will have every game of the World Cup live and on demand, instantly streamed to a fan’s favourite device.
Owen the Oracle will feature in a TV commercial with his fish tank conveniently positioned in front of the family TV, giving him the perfect view of all Kayo’s rugby coverage and allowing him to correctly predict the outcomes of World Cup games.
The loveable psychic amphibian will be brought to life through a Facebook Messenger Chatbot, to be launched on September 11, where he will share his predictions, insights about teams and provide fans with useful rugby updates.
