Australia v Sri Lanka Test 2 Day 1: Live scores, updates from Galle

Steve Smith says he is unfazed by Sri Lanka’s decision to bowl defensively towards him during his first innings century last week at Galle.
Left-arm spinner Prabath Jayasuriya repeatedly bowled outside the line of leg stump only for Smith to pad the ball away during a stretch of play during the final session of day one.
But Aussie skipper Smith said he understood why the Sri Lankans had chosen that tactic, even if they had left themselves open to being warned by the umpires.
“If you’re going to bowl that line particularly with a 6-3, I think you get a couple of warnings,” Smith said.
“If I was to miss a few more down leg rather than hit my pad, they’re probably going to deem that a wide.
“That’s fine as well. I’ve got no stress with that.
“I actually didn’t mind their tactics at a time when we were scoring so quickly that the game was slipping away from them pretty quickly.
“You need to try something else. No stress.”
FIRST TEST REFRESH
Australia romped to a historic innings and 242-run victory in the first Test.
Usman Khawaja scored his first double century while Steve Smith and Josh Inglis both score centuries of their own as Australia scored 6-642 declared in the first innings.
Matthew Kuhnemann (nine wickets) and Nathan Lyon (seven wickets) did the bulk of the damage as Australia rolled through Sri Lanka, taking 15 wickets on day three to seal the enormous win.
It was Australia’s biggest win over Sri Lanka, and the biggest defeat inflicted on Sri Lanka in Test history.
