Aussie swimming legend Stephanie Rice is living her best life on honeymoon after getting married and celebrating in the style.

Stephanie Rice is living her best life on honeymoon in the Maldives with her new husband Mark Lassey after they had two weddings to celebrate becoming husband and wife.

Earlier this month, the Australian swimming legend shared the beautiful moment she tied the knot with Lassey in her dream wedding.

After getting married in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony, the couple celebrated their nuptials for a second time on a Perth rooftop in front of family and friends.

The adorable couple celebrated their special day just 10 months after they began seeing each other.

Lassey, a 46-year-old pastor, who is also the father of three children, popped the question in September and they needed only four months to get Rice ready to walk down the aisle.

Rice, 36, who moved to Dubai in 2023, said she was taking a leap of faith when she settled in the United Arab Emirates in 2023.

This week Rice posted a series of stunning snaps of her sitting poolside smiling ear to ear with the crystal clear waters of the Maldives in the background.

“Honeymoon has officially commenced,” she wrote.

“A week in heaven. T️he last 3 months were so busy and intense, planning our wedding, finishing my masters degree, selling all of Mark’s furniture and booking our honeymoon … so to finally stop, relax and have no decisions to make is absolute bliss.”

The three-time Olympic champion also shared a selfie from a gym, writing: “Our daily workout before relaxing the rest of the afternoon.”

Aussie media personality Jessica Rowe commented: “Woohooo! Honeypie is on honeymoon!!”

Many of Rice’s followers urged her to soak up every moment of her honeymoon.

One follower said: “Put your phone away and enjoy. Congratulations. God bless.”

A second said: “Don’t post on your honeymoon!”

A third commented: “Tip # 1 Don’t invite the world along with you on your honeymoon hun … It’s a special time. Cherish them and keep them sacred.”

Lassey shared a video of the couple riding bikes on a boardwalk in the Maldives with the caption: “Honeymoon with my girl.”

In May this year, Rice released a video on Instagram detailing the end of her “really challenging relationship” with ex-boyfriend Dane Christison.

In a video titled “Life Update” to her 147,000 followers on the platform, Rice was intent on explaining why she hadn’t kept them up to date on her new life in Dubai.

Rice had announced her move to Dubai in December 2023, describing it as a fresh start in a tearful video from a first-class flight.

She later revealed she was in a new relationship with Christison, whom she met through a church connection.

She shared snippets of their life together, including videos of the couple embracing and on holiday.

That same month, Rice also posted a series of videos detailing her swift transition to born-again Christianity.

In the video, Rice began by explaining the journey she had been on since the move to Dubai.

“Oh my gosh you guys, I’m so excited,” she said.
