FORGET pies and sausage rolls, an AFL fan has set social media ablaze by feasting on cheese and smashed avocado at his seat in the MCG.
Punters attending Sunday afternoon’s clash between Melbourne St Kilda were lost for words when a Demons fan in their section produced his own gourmet platter laden with deli goods as a stadium snack.
Pictures of the impressive display quickly did the rounds on social media, with some commenters on Reddit describing it as “classic Melbourne”.
Wearing a red and blue bucket hat, the organised fan had a selection ranging from smashed avocado and bread to soft cheeses and prosciutto.
One Reddit user also claimed the man had a whole salmon stashed in his bag out of sight.
Another Melbourne fan was quick to defend the display as it was shared across the internet.
“Makes perfect sense, you’re just jealous you can’t cop supporters that can mung an A+ cheese platter in all conditions,” user great-nba-comment wrote.
