Josh Reynolds’ ex Arabella Del Busso confronted after charges dropped

The glamorous ex-partner of NRL star Josh Reynolds has refused to answer questions after being confronted by a reporter on the way to her birthday.

Josh Reynolds’ ex-girlfriend has been confronted for the first time since news broke police had dramatically dropped all domestic violence charges against the NRL star.

Arabella Del Busso was approached by A Current Affair on the way to her 30th birthday but refused to answer questions from the reporter.

Reynolds was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in December relating to an alleged domestic violence incident.

NSW Police originally confirmed Reynolds former long-term partner Arabella Del Busso reported she was the victim of an alleged assault which she claimed occurred at his Caringbah South home in September.

Police had accused Reynolds of causing bruising to Del Busso’s right arm and left leg during an alleged incident on September 12.

Reynolds earlier this month pleaded not guilty to the charges.

His legal team told a Sydney court Del Busso, whose real name is Donna Preusker, has a history of deception and false aliases, used to exploit several former partners.

The case took a dramatic twist last Wednesday morning when NSW Police informed Reynolds’ lawyer that all charges against the 30-year-old had been dropped.

A Current Affair confronted Del Busso as she arrived at her glamorous birthday, asking which name she was going by for the occasion.

Guests posted shots from the event on social media as she posed with a personalised marble sign and designer birthday cake.

She was asked how she would be paying for the lavish event.

Reynolds’ legal team argued in court Del Busso “faked” three pregnancies and duped him out of thousands of dollars over a web of lies including the false death of her own mother.

The footy star issued an emotional statement after the charges were dropped.

“The last nine weeks, since I was charged, have been one of the most tumultuous and difficult periods of my life,” Reynolds said.

“During this time my personal life was aired to the public and most importantly my character and principles were questioned.

“Whilst I am relieved, I believe the charges against me should never have been brought. I was always an innocent man and I am happy the legal system has proved this. I am relieved in the fact that I can now get on with my life and move forward.”

Reynolds compared Del Busso’s “ploy” to a Netflix series.

“It’s a great feeling,” Reynolds told Channel 9 News.

“She (Arabella) was smart, she knew what to do. There’s no Netflix series, there’s nothing that’s as good as her ploy.

“I feel silly but she played with my emotions.

“The last nine weeks, since I was charged, have been one of the most tumultuous and difficult periods of my life.”

Del Busso has now reportedly moved on and is dating boxer Istvan Szili.

She was seen congratulating the Hungarian fighter after his victory bout for the vacant WBO Oriental super middleweight title.
