GOLD Coast Titans strike weapon Beau Champion is confident the NRL club's reinforcement brigade can step up to fill the breach left by a decimated forward pack.

The likely loss of Origin stars Nate Myles and Ashley Harrison (Queensland) and Greg Bird (NSW), coupled with a rib injury to Luke Bailey has the club's forward stocks severely stretched ahead of Sunday's showdown with the Sharks at Cronulla.

Their absence has the potential to derail a mid-season Titans revival, which has yielded three wins in a row.

Champion, who starred in last Friday night's 28-12 win over the Cowboys with two tries, admitted the star quartet would be hard to replace.

He said Bailey, expected to miss up to four weeks, would be a huge loss.

"He is one of the best. He has done everything you can do in the game and he is the sort of bloke who just does one thing and it can inspire the whole team," Champion said.

However, the likes of Ben Ridge, Michael Henderson and Ryan James were ready.

Highly-rated James has been out since a horror knee injury a year ago left him requiring a full reconstruction.

"It's going to be tough, but the blokes coming in have played a fair bit of first grade," Champion said.
