It’s a day many thought we might not see in 2020 but against the odds the NRL has powered all the way through to the grand final.

COVID-19 threw the season into chaos but Our Lord and Saviour Peter V’landys led the way as rugby league stayed one step ahead of the virus.

Melbourne will play Penrith in the decider at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium on Sunday October 25, with kick-off scheduled for 7.30pm local time. For the rest of Australia, that start time is as follows:

4.30pm — WA

6pm — NT

6.30pm — QLD

7pm — SA

7.30pm — VIC, NSW, TAS, ACT

Gates open at ANZ Stadium at 3.15pm AEDT. The NRLW grand final between the Broncos and Roosters kicks off at 4.05pm.

Aussie artist and five-time ARIA award winner Amy Shark will headline the pre-match entertainment.

That entertainment will also include a tribute to the players who have retired in 2020, as well as the presentation of the Rugby League Players Association’s Player’s Champion Awards for the best male and female players of the year, as voted by their peers.

6.30pm — Pre-match entertainment (performed by Amy Shark), announcement of Rugby League Players Association’s Player’s Champion Awards
