Channel 9 presenter Danika Mason overseas before cancelled wedding date
Channel 9 presenter Danika Mason has been spotted overseas days before the date when her cancelled wedding was going to be held.
Channel 9 presenter Danika Mason appears to be moving on just fine.
The talented TV host was on Wednesday spotted in Bali, just days before her wedding with ex-partner Todd Liubinskas was scheduled to take place on October 27.
The former couple were booked to get hitched at the Greystone Estate, in the New South Wales Hunter Valley about 70km north west of Newcastle, this weekend.
However, Mason appears to be living it up surrounded by friends at the Indonesian travel hot spot instead.
In the days that followed the sad public news about their break-up, it was reported Mason made late plans to travel to Bali to holiday with friends, including Fox League network star Yvonne O’Keefe, on the weekend she was supposed to be exchanging vows.
She’s made good on those plans and has shared photos of her living the good life in Bali.
It is an incredible turnaround for the 30-year-old with friends previously describing her as “beyond devastated” and “completely heartbroken” in the days that followed their separation.
According to a report last month, Mason was asked to hand back her engagement ring.
There were no signs of sadness in the photos she and her friends shared on Instagram this week.
Mason has shared one photo that showed her surrounded by a group of friends, including O’Keefe and Fox League star Jake Duke.
Duke, formerly from Channel 9, described the gathering as a “girls lunch”.
Mason also shared another glamorous photo on her Instagram stories, showing her sitting on a couch surrounded by friends.
Mason received a series of kind messages from figures across the Australian media landscape after sharing the photos.
A Current Affair host Allison Langdon, TV and radio host Lauren Phillips, TV presenter Julie Snook, celebrity boxer Renee Gartner, Channel 9 sports reporter Alicia Muling, the Today show’s Sophie Walsh, Aussie actress Jessica Green and tennis great Casey Dellacqua were all among the friends to have sent Mason supportive messages.
The cancellation of the wedding came as a surprise to many, including several media personalities who had received invitations to the event.
Despite the sad news, Mason continued to fulfil her professional commitments, including her network’s coverage of the NRL’s Grand Final.
She was spotted without the engagement ring on her finger in the final two weeks of the NRL season.
Mason and Liubinskas had been in a relationship for more than three years. He proposed in July 2021.
Liubinskas is involved in the fitness industry, working as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach.
Mason and Liubinskas had made their last public appearance together at an event to launch the new BYD electric car and showroom in Alexandria, less than two weeks prior to the cancellation.
The couple share a labrador named Charlie.
Mason has built a successful career at Channel 9, where she started as an intern in the newsroom in 2012 and rose to eventually host The Sunday Footy Show.
She also serves as a sideline reporter for NRL matches, and is part of the network’s Australian Open tennis coverage.
There has been no official statement from either Mason or Liubinskas regarding the cancellation of their engagement.
