The venue that was to host the now nixed nuptials of Channel 9 sports presenter Danika Mason has put out a desperate plea to find a replacement couple to fill the spot.

Greystone Estate, in the New South Wales Hunter Valley about 70km north west of Newcastle, posted on social media that a “rare opportunity” has come up to book the venue on the weekend of the 27-29 October.

Any last minute takers will get 50 per cent off the “Greystone Experience” package, potentially saving as much as a $10,000.

Earlier this week, it emerged that Mason had called off her wedding to long-time partner Todd Liubinskas, just three weeks before their planned October ceremony.

Mason and Liubinskas had been in a relationship for more than three years. He proposed in July 2021.

Liubinskas is involved in the fitness industry, working as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach.

The cancellation of the wedding came as a surprise to many, including several media personalities who had received invitations to the event.

Despite the sad news, Mason has continued to fulfil her professional commitments, including her network’s coverage of the NRL’s grand final qualifiers over the weekend.

There has been no official statement from either Mason or Liubinskas regarding the cancellation of their engagement.

However, Mason has been seen on TV without her wedding ring multiple times, despite her sporting it on previous TV appearances and social media posts recently.

Mason and Liubinskas haven’t been seen together for weeks. Now the wedding venue is seeking a new couple.

The Greystone Estate is billed as a “stunning private property,” where the venue can focus on the details “so you can focus on your love”.

The centrepiece of the estate is the “Air Pavilion,” a strikingly modern outdoor area where ceremonies can take place.

Or couples can say “I do” beneath a huge tree by a lake on the property.

There is also a function centre for up to 110 guests with its own private bar as well as an outdoor bar for alfresco Aperols.

According to the Hunter Concierge wedding website, weekend wedding packages at the Greystone Estate costs around $20,000 with 32 people saying onsite, excluding a food and drinks package.

News.com.au has contacted Greystone Estate for comment.

The venue confirmed to Daily Mail that they had had an “unexpected cancellation”, while sources told the publication that it was the couple’s chosen venue.

Friends of Mason have described her as “beyond devastated” and “completely heartbroken”, but it was an ex-partner of Liubinskas who offered up her condolences to the presenter.

“I can only hope that Danika hasn’t been blindsided like I was or going through something similar,” the ex-told the Daily Mail.
