Adam Elliott to join Newcastle Knights to follow superstar girlfriend
NRL star Adam Elliott has reportedly made a big decision for his career that is arguably even bigger for his budding relationship.
NRL star Adam Elliott is set to join the Newcastle Knights in 2023, following his partner Millie Boyle to the club.
The Daily Telegraph reports Elliott told his teammates earlier in the week he would join the Knights next year after just one season at the Canberra Raiders.

The Daily Telegraph reported Canberra was looking to sign Elliott to an extension but the Knights swooped in with a multi-year deal worth $1.4 million.
The Knights are yet to confirm the signing as yet.
Elliott previously played for the Canterbury Bulldogs but was stood down for the remainder of the 2021 season after he was discovered by security in the men’s bathroom with NRLW star Boyle.
Boyle maintained it was “an innocent kiss” but Elliott was reportedly escorted out of the venue without a shirt on.
He was fined $10,000 by the league for bringing the game into disrepute and ultimately parted ways with the Bulldogs, agreeing to walk out on his contract with a reported two years and a$1 million on the table.
Soon after the scandal, the pair revealed they were in a committed relationship.
The NRLW Dally M player of the year poked fun at the situation with an Instagram post, writing: “Lost a milli. gained a Millie.”
The pair have been doing long distance as Boyle was based in Brisbane with the Broncos and Elliott lived in Canberra, but the pair will reunite in Newcastle.
Boyle has spent the past four seasons in Brisbane but made the move to the NRLW newcomers for next season.
She was revealed alongside fellow former Bronco and Queensland star Tamika Upton.
“I couldn’t be more excited to arrive in Newcastle and experience what it’s like to run out in a Knights jersey,” Boyle said.
“Everyone knows how passionate this town is about footy and all of the NRLW girls experienced that in Round One this season.
“The team at the Knights are building and will be very competitive; there’s a good mix of experienced players and really exciting young talent coming through. This season can’t come soon enough.”
