Brundle’s grid walks have become a key piece of entertainment on the F1 grid before every race as he forces his way through the crowd chatting to drivers and celebrities in several minutes of unbridled chaos.

Over the years the Sky Sports presenter has dealt with countless snubs from celebrities with the latest coming on Sunday night.

Brundle approached the singer and actor, brushing past a man who told him Delevingne wouldn’t be speaking.

Brundle replied: “She doesn’t want to talk? But that’s the deal now. Everybody talks on the grid.”

He asked Delevingne: “Can we have a quick chat? Sky F1. The deal is everybody has to speak.”

Delevingne responded: “I can’t hear anything. I’m so sorry.”

Brundle cut his losses, roasting Delevingne by muttering: “I’m sure it would have been extremely interesting,” his comment dripping in sarcasm.

Delevingne replied on social media stating she was told to say no to the interview request.

While the knives came out for Delevingne, fans were full of praise for Ryder who burst into the arms of Brundle when he approached the 61-year-old.

The 34-year-old nearly knocked the former driver’s microphone out of his hand as the pair hugged before delving into a chat about the race.

Instead of a few quick bites and generic responses about the sport, Ryder dived head first into race strategy as he talked up McLaren’s chances.

“Those McLaren’s are going to have a good start today man,” he said.

“Oscar, rookie season, he could be leading a lap. Depending on pit strategy … I’m stoked. Sorry I’m talking your ear off.”

Brundle then asked: “So you’re cheering for McLaren then?”

“Absolutely. I think it’s a wicked start after the season they’ve had, to develop the car to this point is amazing,” Ryder said in response.

Brundle ended the discussion with the singer, walking away saying “all right good stuff, I think you could take my job if you wanted to.”

The display from Ryder was met with endless love from F1 fans who pointed out the stark disparity between him and Delevingne.

One fan wrote: “Martin Brundle scientifically proving Sam Ryder is an infinitely better person than Cara Delevingne.”

Another added: “Sam Ryder was elated to see the legend Martin Brundle on the grid and gave his insight in an impressive manner while wearing a big smile.”

While another pointed out: “The difference between Sam Ryder & Cara Delevingne on the Martin Brundle grid walk was like night & day.”

Brundle’s frustrations have become increasingly evident during his grid walks as celebrities simply refuse to budge on answering a single question.

With Formula 1 continuing to grow and expand, celebrities are lining up to stand on the grid alongside the stars of the sport.

Fans however, like Brundle, are frustrated as the moment is nothing more than a chance to flaunt themselves on social media without knowing a thing about the sport.

Fellow Sky Sports presenter Karun Chandhok called on the FIA to take action against celebrities who are only on the grid for the Instagrammable content.

“I honestly think we should have a ‘chart of rudeness’ in F1!” he wrote on Twitter. “Next time, take the grid passes from people who don’t care and give it some deserving kids who will treasure the experience.”
