Kieron Pollard goes ballistic, belts six sixes in one over vs Sri Lanka
West Indian slugger Kieron Pollard stunned the world by belting six sixes in an over — off a bowler who had just taken a hat-trick.
The cricket world lost its mind during the West Indies’ incredible four-wicket win over Sri Lanka in a T20 match that had absolutely everything — including six sixes in an over and a hat-trick in the same innings.
Sri Lanka posted 9/131 and in reply the Windies went on a rampage, openers Lendl Simmons and Evin Lewis racing to 52 after 3.1 overs before losing their first wicket.

Akila Dananjaya had Lewis caught, then took two wickets in the next two balls to complete a sensational hat-trick. Master blaster Chris Gayle was trapped LBW first ball, then the dangerous Nicholas Pooran was caught behind.
Another wicket soon followed but if Sri Lanka thought taking 4/10 would slow the West Indies down, they were wrong.
All-rounder Kieron Pollard came to the crease at No. 5 and went berserk in the final over of the powerplay. Dananjaya was riding high after his hat-trick but quickly came crashing down to earth as Pollard whacked the off-spinner for six consecutive sixes in one over.

The West Indian slugger becomes just the third batsman to ever achieve the feat in an international match. India’s Yuvraj Singh slapped Stuart Broad for six sixes in a row at the 2007 T20 World Cup, while South African Herschelle Gibbs did the same against the Netherlands at the 50-over World Cup in 2007.
Pollard’s astonishing assault saw the home side finish its six-over powerplay on the breathtaking score of 4/98, and fans could barely believe what they’d seen.
Cricket writer Andrew McGlashan tweeted: “Well, that was a ridiculous Powerplay!”
Commentator Aatif Nawaz wrote: “First he takes a hat-trick. Then he gets smashed for 6 sixes in an over by Kieron Pollard. A game of extremes for Akila Dananjaya. Carnage at Coolidge!”
Sri Lankan legend Russell Arnold called it “crazy” and journalist Alexander Grant added: “Kieron Pollard my goodness.”
Pollard was out shortly after his rampage, LBW for 38 off just 11 balls and when Fabian Allen was out very next ball with the score on 106, also LBW to PWH de Silva, another hat-trick was on the cards.
But Dwayne Bravo survived, and he and Jason Holder (29 not out) guided the West Indies to the target in the 14th over, six wickets down.
