KLAY Thompson’s superb display for the Warriors has been given the NBA Jam video game treatment. That and more in this week’s NBA Jammed column.

DEANDRE Jordan bombs live interview, rookies get pranked, and Gasol shows off his football skills.

It’s all in this week’s NBA Jammed column.

KLAY’S ON FIRE!

Remember playing NBA Jam on Nintendo? Well some nostalgic genius on the internet gave Klay Thompson’s record effort of 37 points in a single quarter the NBA Jam treatment, and the result is wonderful.

DEANDRE DOES IT AGAIN

DeAndre Jordan loves being in front of the camera, even if it’s not him who’s meant to be on camera. During a post-game interview between Jamal Crawford and a Fox Sports reporter, Jordan abruptly cut in with a little singsong about Crawford’s excellent performance, before mic-dropping out of there as quick as he stormed in. Don’t ever change, DeAndre.

ROOKIES PRANKED

It’s not easy being a rookie in the NBA. You have to take your game to the next level, and at the same time win the respect of your new teammates. And then there’s the initiation. Philadelphia’s JaKarr Sampson was on the receiving end of a cheeky prank this week, with his 76ers buddies wrapping his SUV in aluminium foil leaving his ride looking like a giant baked potato. Classic.

‘SWAGGY P’ TALKS THE TALK

But does Nick Young walk the walk? Well he’s ready to. When asked by reporters what the LA Lakers need to do in order to continue winning without an injured Kobe Bryant, his answer was simple.

“Pretty much give me the ball and get out of the way,” Young said.

But looking at Young’s stats, that’s not exactly a great strategy according to most pundits.

Although it is a familiar sentiment to the always shooting, sometimes scoring, NBA legend, Bryant.

SLEEVED JERSEYS RETURN

For Chinese New Year the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets have brought out some special edition sleeved jerseys, and they look, well, we’ll leave that to you decide. Cool idea though.

GASOL USES HIS HEAD

Even ‘ballers love the beautiful game. Grizzlies star Marc Gasol showed his enthusiasm for the other round ball against the Magic. The Spaniard was caught juggling a basketball — a super hard ball that would definitely hurt if you headed it — off the backboard three times before trying to ‘head a basket’. He came close too.
