While not being rude to the reporters asking the questions, the players have simply opted to use their time in front of the microphone to call for justice for Breonna Taylor.

A nursing student, Taylor, 26, was killed inside her home in the US city of Louisville when she was asleep and unarmed.

It’s been alleged the officers arrived at her home with an infamous “no-knock” warrant. It’s alleged the three men shot 20 bullets into the home, fatally striking Ms Taylor at least eight times during a narcotics investigation though no drugs were found on the premises.

The officers, Jon Mattingly, Brett Hankison and Myles Cosgrove, have been placed on administrative reassignment while the shooting is investigated.

Philadelphia 76ers star Tobias Harris called out Kentucky’s attorney general in a powerful 59-second interview just days ago and now NBA megastar LeBron James has used his platform to call for their arrest.

After once again playing a starring role for the Los Angeles Lakers, James used his post-game press conference to turn the spotlight back onto Taylor and the fight for justice.

“I want to continue to shed light on justice for Breonna Taylor and to her family and everything that’s going on with that situation,” James said after being asked about the game.

Asked what comes next in the fight for Taylor and her family, James didn’t hold back.

“We want the cops arrested who committed that crime,” he said.

“As one of the leaders of this league, I want her family to know, and I want the state of Kentucky to know that we feel for her and we want justice. That’s what it’s all about. What’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong.”

ESPN’s Malika Andrews noted James made reference to George Floyd and his death being captured on film and wondering if that’s what was needed for people to understand.

“Is that what we need, a video of Breonna being killed for people to see how bad this is?” James said.

“Black Lives Matter isn’t a movement. Being Black isn’t a movement. It’s a lifestyle. This is a walk of life when you wake up and you’re black.”

“When he speaks the whole world listens,” teammate Anthony Davis told reporters.

James has shown to be a leader in the fight for equality and his post-game remarks, which lasted roughly 15 minutes were described as “powerful” by The Athletic’s Bill Oram.

James played on Friday morning with the message “#Justice4BreonnaT” written on his shoes.
