The match will start at 6.30pm local time. Here’s what that means for the start times in other states and territories around Australia:
7.30pm — NSW, Victoria, Tasmania, ACT
7pm — South Australia
6pm — Northern Territory
4.30pm — Western Australia
AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan announced last week The Gabba would host the Grand Final, while Adelaide Oval is the back-up venue should unexpected circumstances rule out Queensland.
McLachlan said it was a “difficult” decision to choose Brisbane over Perth and Adelaide because all the states’ presentations were so impressive, but given the work the Queensland government has done to bring teams into quarantine hubs and facilitate the continuation of the season, it was just reward.
