“Our hearts are so full. Everyone happy, healthy and settling in at home. So grateful @kanelambert,” she posted on Instagram alongside a black and white photo of her holding their child while recovering in a hospital bed.

It was revealed in October the pair were expecting their first child and Gelmi began her maternity leave last month.

Gelmi told The Herald Sun at the time it had not been an easy pregnancy.

“While it’s been a such special time, I’ve been quite unwell,” Gelmi told the News Corp publication.

Lambert represented the Richmond Tigers in 135 games after making his AFL debut in 2015, winning three premierships with the club.

The 30-year-old announced his retirement in July following a string of injuries, but the All-Australian will stay with the club as a development coach.

Lambert received the Francis Bourke award at Richmond’s Jack Dyer Medal last week, winning the prestigious accolade for a second time.

Gelmi and Lambert struck up a romance early last year after the television presenter moved to Melbourne.

It came after Gelmi’s marriage breakdown with Sky Racing presenter Ben Way, who split in 2020.

The couple got married in late 2019 after three years together.
