Nathan Buckley’s stunning new girlfriend after split with wife Tania

Collingwood might be struggling on the field but Nathan Buckley is well and truly winning off it after locking down a new relationship.

If Nathan Buckley’s face has remained fresh during Collingwood’s hellish start to the AFL season, there might be a reason why.

The under-siege AFL coach has faced regular questions over his future as the Magpies tumble down the ladder but his personal life is looking far rosier than his professional situation after confirmation he is dating stunning cosmetic nurse Alex Pike.

The Herald Sun first published whispers the pair had taken an interest in each other back in January — just a month after the 48-year-old footy great publicly confirmed he had split with wife of 18 years, Tania.

But now it seems the father-of-two and mother-of-three have locked each other down.

The Herald Sun reported on Friday night: “Buckley, 48, is not only in a happy place, he is downward dogging and definitely off the market …

“While keeping it discreet on social media, although following each other, the happy couple are not hiding their relationship from family and friends.”

While coaching the Collingwood Football Club is one of the most closely-scrutinised jobs in Australia, Pike is no stranger to the limelight herself.

She was signed to a modelling agency as a 12-year-old after taking part in a Dolly Cover Girl competition and originally planned to study journalism.

But the daughter of a pharmacist father and nurse mother opted to study nursing and ended up starting her career in a plastic surgery ward.

After being trained in cosmetic injectables she worked under renowned facial plastic surgeon Dr Bryan Mendelson before launching her own business Face by Alex Pike.

The business specialises in dermal fillers, double chin treatment, facial slimming, jawline sculpting, anti-wrinkle injections and skin care.

News of Buckley’s marriage breakdown came as a huge shock to the AFL world, with him and Minnici establishing themselves as one of footy’s golden couples during his playing days with Collingwood.

“It has been a tough and challenging year for every family and for ours included,” the couple’s joint statement said late last year.

“It is with the utmost love and respect for each other and a true commitment to our sons, that we have made a decision to separate in January.

“We remain dedicated parents and in the interests of our boys, we ask for our family to be given the privacy that is needed.

“We thank everyone in advance for understanding our request and for the unconditional love and support we have received throughout our marriage.”
