Fremantle ready to deal Jesse Hogan in AFL Trade Period 2020

Star forward Jesse Hogan’s time at Fremantle is up with the club reportedly reaching out to rivals — and they’ve already got a big nibble.

Star forward Jesse Hogan’s miserable Fremantle stint is over with the club reportedly informing rival clubs he is on the trade table.

Hogan faced an uncertain future heading into the off-season after a season where he played just seven games.

Hogan was also earlier this month fined $8000 by a Western Australian court after breaching quarantine requirements.

The 25-year-old’s career was rumoured to be at the crossroads at the Dockers, despite having a full season to run on his contract.

The Age reported Tuesday rival clubs have been told the Dockers will be open to trade offers to let Hogan move on.

Another report from Channel 7’s Ryan Daniels on Tuesday revealed the Swans have already declared their interest in Hogan after missing out on Bombers star Joe Daniher.

“I’m told the club are not actively shopping him around for trade,” Daniels posted on Twitter regarding Hogan.

“Hogan, his management and Freo will sit down in 2 wks to discuss his future. All on same page.

“On the flip side, the @sydneyswans have enquired about trading for Hogan. There are hundreds of conversations every year about players - 95% don’t eventuate to anything. It’s just how it works. Still a strong chance Jesse is at the Dockers next year.”

Fremantle has endured a turbulent list management year with several experienced players moved on — and reports claim out-of-favour midfielder Connor Blakely will also join the exit queue.

Blakely avoided being delisted, but the club is reportedly hoping to ship him off during the 2020 Trade Period.

TRELOAR USED AS TRADE BAIT

Star midfielder Adam Treloar’s bizarre off-season has taken another strange twist with suggestions the contracted midfielder could be used as trade bait to lure a key forward to Collingwood.

Despite claiming last week he has “never considered” departing Collingwood, speculation has reached frenzied levels that he is “gettable” for rival clubs.

Treloar’s partner Kim Ravaillion will reignite her Super Netball career with the Queensland Firebirds next year, and is expected to move north with the couple’s seven-month-old daughter.

Although Ravaillion will spend 10 months in the sunshine state in 2021, Treloar told AFL 360 last week he has no intention of leaving Collingwood.

Footy reporter John Ralph told Fox Sports News on Monday the Pies could use Treloar to pick up a key forward like Ben Brown or Joe Daniher.

“Well Adam Treloar is a trade bait. He’s certainly someone other clubs believe is gettable. Exactly because the kind of people like Jeremy Cameron keep coming out of other football clubs,” Ralph said on Fox Footy’s AFL Tonight.

“Cameron is off the table now and seemingly so is Jack Gunston, Tom Morris has talked about him and Collingwood’s interest.

“Other names that have been floated include Jesse Hogan and Ben Brown. Clearly there is not a preferred candidate now Cameron is off the table.

“But they really seem intent on bringing in that key forward and Treloar might be the fall guy.”
