A romance kept quiet by popular Channel 7 presenter Abbey Gelmi and a Richmond star has been revealed following her divorce.

Channel 7 star Abbey Gelmi and Richmond’s Kane Lambert have reportedly kept their romance quiet until now.

It was revealed Friday, the sports presenter and Tigers premiership-winner have been dating.

The Herald Sun first reported the pair were seen together in public for the first time last week after Gelmi in March moved to Melbourne from Sydney.

They have kept their relationship secret and have shown no mention of it on their social media channels.

The former Fox Sports presenter’s career has been booming recently having made the jump from live sport to network lifestyle shows, including House Rules and Ultimate Tag.

She also emerged as a star of Seven’s cricket, AFL and horse racing broadcasts.

She said in February the move to Melbourne was the obvious next move for her as she looked for a fresh start and increasingly found herself needing to be in Melbourne for her Channel 7 commitments.

“It’s a fresh start for me, it’ll be nice,’’ Gelmi said.

“Given the year 2020 was, I was grateful to have work — and grateful to have lovely friends and be with my family.

“It makes sense to be in Melbourne. I did a bit of footy last season and loved it, so you’ve got to put yourself in the mix.”

Her move followed a divorce from sports presenter Ben Way last year — just one year after the split couple were married in South Australia.

The 31-year-old grand daughter of Olympic legend Herb Elliot, also changed her name back to her maiden “Gelmi” title following the break-up.

Gelmi and Lambert, 29, are both heading into chaotic periods with Gelmi set to be one of the star hosts for Seven’s coverage of the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, where she will be based from a Melbourne studio.

Lambert is also in the middle of the Tigers’ premiership defence and is fighting to return from a calf injury.

He is expected to miss another couple weeks, adding to the Tigers injury crisis.
