Billy Brownless will be missing from radio and TV with suggestions he is instead returning to the scene of a “comprehensive failure”.
Billy Brownless has hinted his next career move will be a return to reality TV.
The Geelong cult hero turned footy larrikin has been tight-lipped about his next project after confirming he has been given permission to abandon his radio commitments with Triple M for two weeks.
The 57-year-old has got the rumour mill in overdrive with speculation running hot following his announcement on Triple M’s Saturday Rub.
Co-hosts James Brayshaw, Bernie Vince and Damian Barrett had a good laugh about Brownless’ decision with Brayshaw saying he had “good mail” Brownless will be returning to reality TV.

Brownless, a 198-game Geelong legend, refused to confirm the link.
The Herald Sun has speculated Brownless will be featuring on the next season of Network 10’s The Amazing Race, which is due to begin filming in early May.
“I can’t talk about it,” Brownless said on Triple M.
“I’ve signed a confidentiality clause and I am not allowed to say too much, but I might be away for a couple of weeks. I could be flying overseas.”
Brownless, who sits alongside Brayshaw during the pair’s iconic Rush Hour afternoon radio show, did confirm his decision to take a break from his regular duties is not the result of family or personal issues.
He said he himself didn’t yet know what he will be doing during his next project.

Brownless featured in the 2020 edition of the hit show where he made headlines for candid comments about his marriage breakdown.
It turns out Brownless was only involved in filming in the African jungle for 11 days, having met the contract clause of 10 days on set.
Triple M has not announced his replacement for the drive-time slot.
Brownless remains one of the most popular figures in football media and rumoured recent romantic relationships have excited fans after years of him recovering from his divorce.
Brownless and Melbourne Demons legend Garry Lyon were close friends before Lyon’s relationship with Brownless’ ex-wife Nicky became public.
Nicky and Brownless were together for 18 years before splitting in 2014.
Most recently in January, Brownless was linked with a mystery lady “friend” Lizzie, when they were seen out and about together at the Australian Open.
