Round 7 started with a Scott Pendlebury masterclass on Friday night as the Collingwood captain backed up his Anzac Day dominance with 36 disposals in the Magpies’ victory over Port Adelaide.

There have been several standout efforts from the lesser lights as well, with James Harmes influential in Melbourne’s thrilling win over Hawthorn and Aaron Naughton producing one of the games of the season against Richmond.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Cameron fired in the nation’s capital, Dayne Zorko led Brisbane to a drought-breaking triumph over Sydney and Andrew Gaff ran amok against Gold Coast.
